brings you the review on ‘Manmadhan Ambu’
Ambujam aka Nisha (Trisha), a successful actress in Tamil film industry has tired out with her career and personal life. She comes to France for spending some time with her friend Deepa (Sangeetha), who recently divorced and is leading life with her kids. Trisha’s fiancĂ© Madhana Gopal (Madhavan) doubts that she might be having some affair with someone and appoints detective Major Mannar (Kamal Haasan) to spy on her and find out what’s happening in Paris. What unfolds next is a series of humorous drama that goes along with some emotional quotients.
Firstly, Kamal Haasan needs special mention for bringing such a wonderful drama blended humorous way. As a screenwriter, he has excelled with his best attributes. The first half brings whole lots of characters together. 20mins into the film, you’re done with various roles and the exact conflict of the movie. That’s one of the finest tactics of a screenwriter. Kamal Haasan has stressed a lot into dialogues. People like me want to be honest, but you people make it too luxurious stopping us to afford it. Well this is one of the film’s themes. The flashback sequence revealed in a song ‘Neela Vaanam’ is an excellent work as the complete love story is narrated in just 5minutes. The reverse mode of picturing is a good idea.
On the performance level, Kamal Haasan leaves us speechless with his emoting style. The conversation between him and Oorvasi over the phone is a whistle-blowing act. Madhavan has done a good job as he projects himself into a completely fun-filled role. Finally, we get to see Trisha in a good role. Her characterization should enlighten the audiences with the actual pains of an actress. Sangeetha deserves special mention.
The Luxurious Cruise in the backdrops is an additional value for the film. DSP’s ‘Neela Vaanam’ is cherry-pick.
