Model turned actress Vaishali Desai was born on 18th December 1984. She is grand niece of famous film director late Manmohan Desai. Her sister Jaituni is a model too. Brought up in Bangalore, Vaishali did her schooling in Sophia High School. She has done her graduation in Psychology from Mount Carmel College, Bangalore. After the Miss India contest she has shifted permanently to Mumbai for modelling and further studies as well. Vaishali has done many ramp shows when she was in Bangalore and was a top model there. Her first show was at the age of sixteen only. But her major break-through in the acting world was with her first commercial for Ponds Dreamflower Talc.
Vaishali has participated in several beauty contests. She appeared in the Elite Look of the Year where she was second runner up. She was third runner up of the Ponds Femina Miss India contest in 2005 and represented India at the Miss International contest held in Tokyo.
Vaishali Desai has also appeared in many ads of Ponds Dreamflower Talc, Tanishq, Raymonds and Compaq. She was also seen in the music videos by Euphoria and Kumar Sanu. Vaishali Desai had a good run as a model and is making her debut in Bollywood. She is making her debut in Bollywood with the film Kal Kissne Dekha, opposite newcomer Jacky Bhagnan
