The story of this romantic comedy films speaks about the relationship of people in a floating luxury cruise liner. Udhayanidhi Stalin is producing this film under the banner Red Giant Movies. Trisha is for the first time pairing with Kamal Haasan in this film.

The story of the film begins in Paris and has been shot in the important ports of European countries including Barcelona, Genoa. The shooting of the film has also taken place in Italy, Rome and Venice. Some of the shooting has taken place in Chennai and Kodaikanal.

Most of the story takes place in a cruise liner in the Mediterranean sea. The film illustrates the relationships of people in a comical way. Kamal Haasan dons the role called Major R Maanaru. He is caught between friendship and romance.
